Turkey Burger

Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients (serves 4)
4 slice Beetroot, canned, drained
4 slice Cheese, cheddar, reduced fat (~ 25%)
1 cup Lettuce, cos, raw
8 rings Onion, mature, brown skinned, peeled, raw
8 slice Tomato, common, raw
1 fillet Turkey, breast, lean, raw
4 roll Bread roll, mixed grain
1 tablespoon Oil, olive, pure
4 mL Sauce, tomato, commercial
Method
- Cut the buns in half and place in griller until golden. Cut the tomato into slices and add the lettuce, cheese, beetroot and top with sauce.
- Fry the onion in some olive oil, until golden, remove from the pan and drain on paper towel. Take the Turkey breast and place in the fry pan on medium-high heat. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until cooked through. Use a skewer to pierce the turkey to ensure it is cooked, a clear fluid without any blood should be seen.
